Guard Dogs

Unit Type: Heavy Support; Leman Russ Squadron

The squad recently performed well in a training exercise with the Salamanders, suppressing and destroying several Space Marine tactical squads and standing up to attacking deepstriking terminators.
Note: The squad can be divided for extra maneuverability, particularly when escorting a large unit like the Baneblade and when there are fewer heavy support options in play.

Cerberus was used sparingly throughout their time behind enemy lines, but when it was used it was to devastating effect. Once they squad rejoined the ranks following a successful mission on the downed Space Hulk, retaking it from the Severan Dominate, the tank was given battle honours and rechristened Cerberus in their honour. At this time the commander, Gabriel Drakken, also ordered a second rare Executioner to be re-fitted and painted so as to match and complement Cerberus, dubbing it Fenris.

History: After the return of Cerberus squad Commander Gabriel Drakken was greatly impressed with it's service record and capability in dealing with the rampaging Orks. Drakken decided to take the only other Executioner that he had in his arsenal, recovered from what was left behind by the Armageddon Steel Legion in the Ganf Magna vehicle depots reclaimed by Wyvern Squad, and refit, repair and repaint it to complement Cerberus, naming the tank Fenris.
